Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA) hereby issues this public notice to inform the community of an upcoming opportunity to request a public hearing regarding the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2023 – 2024 Section 5311 Rural Transportation Program Application. This application will be submitted to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Purpose of the Public Notice:
The purpose of this notice is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to request a public hearing on the SFY 2023 – 2024 Section 5311 Rural Transportation Program Application. The application outlines proposed transportation initiatives and projects that may impact the community.

Program Overview:
The Section 5311 Rural Transportation Program aims to enhance rural mobility and accessibility, ensuring that transportation services meet the needs of the community. The SFY 2023 – 2024 application outlines the projects and initiatives planned for implementation in the Pee Dee region.

New Service Announcement - 1.5.24

We are thrilled to announce a further expansion of in Chesterfield County with two new additional routes beginning Monday, January 29th. One route will connect McBee, Jefferson and Pageland. The other route will connect Cheraw, Chesterfield and Pageland going throughRuby and Mt Croghan. Each route will provide five round trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Demand Response available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Patrick and Cash. To schedule the demand/response ride call 843-665-2227x2 24 hours ahead.

In observance of Thanksgiving, Thursday November 23rd all routes will be closed. We will resume regular operations Friday, November 24th.

Join us for a conversation on public transportation in McBee, SC, Thursday, August 24 at 38 W Juniper Ave - McBee, SC 29101Session 1: 12-1pm; Session 2: 5-6pmBuses will be in the area offering free shuttle service to and from the hearings starting at 11am and again at 4pm.
McBee residents may plan ahead to schedule a ride by calling 843-665-2227 x2.

In observance of July 4th, we will be limiting services Tuesday, and will resume normal scheduled services on Wednesday, July 5. The only routes running on July 4 are Marion to Myrtle Beach, Lake City to Myrtle Beach and Harbor Freight. All other routes will resume normal operation on Wednesday, July 5.

Public Announcement - Memorial Day - 5.29.23

In observance of Memorial Day, we will be limiting services Monday, May 29 and will resume normal scheduled services on Tuesday, May 30. The only routes running on Memorial Day are Marion to Myrtle Beach, Lake City to Myrtle Beach and Harbor Freight. All other routes will resume normal operation on Tuesday, May 30.
